Penis pumps. These plastic tubes create a partial vacuum around the penis. The vacuum draws blood into the organ, resulting in temporary size enhancement. Models differ, but all include a plastic tube and a pump operated by a hand bulb. You squeeze the bulb, which evacuates air from the tube, drawing a little extra blood into the penis. Just remember, the effect is modest and temporary.

• Embrace meditative relaxation. The arteries the carry blood into the penis are surrounded by muscle tissue. When men feel anxious (including worrying about penis size), these muscles contract, constricting the arteries and reducing blood inflow and size. With a rigid ruler handy, get a full erection. Lay the ruler along the top of your penis (that is, the side that faces upward when you're standing with your penis sticking straight out), and press the end of the ruler firmly against your body (where the pubic hair is). Hold your penis against the ruler with your hand, straighten out as much as possible any curvature that may exist, and try to hold your penis so that it's sticking straight out from your body. Then, looking straight down, determine the ruler reading at the very end of your penis.
Penis stretching is the type of penis enlargement treatment that few dare to take on. • Forget surgery. The full monty, lengthening and girth enhancement, is expensive (around $15,000) and problematic. Lengthening surgery cuts the ligament that makes an erection stand up. This adds an inch, but erections no longer salute. They just hang between your legs and must be manually directed into erotic openings. Girth enhancement takes fat from the buttocks and injects it under the penis skin. Sounds good, but quite often, the result is a lumpy, deformed-looking penis.
Penis length surgery involves cutting the ligament with which the penis is attached to the pubic bone and grafting added skin to the base to increase length. This will increase the size of the flaccid penis by up to 2cm, but it doesn’t affect the size of the erect penis. The cut ligament may also not provide the support it originally did, which means that you might find your erections less satisfactory as a result. There is also a risk that this type of surgery may cause the side effect of pain during sex.
"It's a real shame that penis size hang-ups make so many men feel inadequate," says sex educator Betty Dodson, Ph.D. "I urge men to make peace with their penises. It's fine as it is. Enjoy what you've got, and you'll be a happier lover--and probably a better lover. And if you want to be a really great lover, understand that while most women enjoy gentle, well-lubricated intercourse, what makes them come is clitoral caresses--and for most women, intercourse doesn't provide much clitoral action. I couldn't care less about a man's size. Give me an enthusiastic tongue on my clit any time."
This might be reasonable if the penis were a muscle, but, unfortunately, it is not. Anatomically speaking, the human penis is made up of three columns of tissue: two columns of erectile tissue (known as the corpora cavernosa) and another column of spongy tissue (called the corpus spongiosum) which keeps the urethra open whenever the penis is erect.

Stretching with weights. Weights or stretching exercises won't bulk up your penis -- it's not a muscle. But hanging weights off your flaccid penis may stretch it a bit, O'Leary says. The catch is that it requires a freakish degree of dedication. "You might have to wear a weight strapped to your penis eight hours a day for six months," says O'Leary. At the end of it, you could be lucky enough to gain about half an inch. Risks include tearing of the tissue, burst blood vessels, and other problems.
